1. 逢年過節是民眾全家團聚的時候，不過，許多站在第一線的交通工作人員卻是謹守在工作崗位上，為了讓民眾看見這些人工作的用心和付出，交通部特別拍攝一系列的微電影，分別和民眾分享台鐵人員、郵差的工作甘苦。交通部微電影第一集交通人的圍爐夜，昨天首播，民眾可以上交通部網站或是youtube收看。
1. The Chinese New Year is a time of family reunion, yet the seats of family members who work in the field of transportation are not occupied. The Ministry of Transportation and Communication released a series of short films showing our children, parents, and loved ones working diligently away from home during the Chinese New Year family reunion to ensure the safety of our close ones as they travel on the sky, land, and sea. The first episode of the series, “Family Reunion Nights of the Transportation Personnel” had its premiere yesterday, and it is available now on the website and YouTube channel of the Ministry of Transportation and Communication.
2. 年後轉職潮，為了協助民眾找工作，台北市就業服務處「台北人力銀行」今天(20)下午一點到四點，在勞工教育館三樓，舉辦「大潤發北區聯合招募」專案徵才活動，有賣場營業課員、長短期工讀生等，一共有330個工作機會，可以依居住地分派工作地點。
2. Switching jobs has been a trend after every Chinese New Year. In order to assist with the job searching effort, OKWORK, the human resources agency of the Taipei City Employment Services Office is going to hold a RT-Mart North Division Joint Recruitment today at the third floor of Labor Education Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 330 job opportunities, including sales representatives, as well as long and short-term part-time jobs are going to be released. Applicants can choose to be assigned to locations of their residence to work.
3. 大考中心展開103學年度大學學科能力測驗成績複查，大考中心表示，今年學測共有1826名考生申請成績複查，佔全體考生1.24%，成績複查結果通知書將在明天(21)寄發，考生可以利用網路及電話語音查詢結果。
3. The score reviewing process of the 2014 General Scholastic Ability Test has begun. 1,826 test takers, or 1.24% of all test takers, applied for score review this year, according to the College Entrance Examination Center. The result of the score reviews will be mailed-out tomorrow on the 21st of February. The results can also be accessed through the Internet or telephone.
4. 臺中市勞工局針對從事特殊性及特別危害健康職業的勞工，推出「元氣勞動計畫」補助免費健康檢查，今年起更將年滿 35 歲高工時行業的勞工，也納入補助對象，預計補助200萬元約600多個名額，歡迎有需要的勞工朋友提出申請。
4. The Labor Energizing Project, held by the Labor Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government is a blessing to people working jobs that pose high health risks. Free check-ups are offered, and a two million dollars grant is budgeted for around 600 applicants. Starting this year, people who are more than 35 years old and are working jobs that involve high working hours can also apply for the grant.
5. 新北市教育局辦理103學年度國小暨幼兒園教師甄選，簡章預訂4月中公告，缺額5月中公告，6月15號舉行初試，6月29號複試。教育局為了方便考生及早安排住宿規劃，將於2月底在新北市教育局聯合甄選系統，公告考區位置。
5. The Education Bureau of New Taipei City is holding a 2014 Elementary School and Kindergarten Teachers Selection. The brochure of the selection is scheduled to be released in mid-April. The number of available spots to compete for will be unveiled in mid-May. First round will happen on the 15th of June, and the second round will take place on the 29th of the same month. The Education Bureau will uncover the test locations through the Joint Selection System of the Education Bureau, New Taipei City, at the end of February so that sufficient time will be available for test takers to plan out their accommodation.
6. 達文西1490年創作的世界著名素描「維特魯威人」，繪出人體的完美比例，但最近日有人提出不同看法。倫敦帝國學院癌症手術中心臨床講師艾希拉菲恩認為，素描裡的男性其實得了重病，他的鼠蹊部異常腫大，表示可能有嚴重疝氣，而且甚至導致他死亡。達文西非常崇拜維特魯威，根據約1500年前維特魯威在《建築十書》中的描述，達文西繪出符合幾何學的完美比例人體。
6. Drawn by Leonardo da Vinci in 1490, the Vitruvian man is held up as one of the best examples of a perfect man, and one of the most recognizable sketches in the world. However, Hutan Ashrafian, a lecturer at Imperial College London, believes in fact the model was suffering from a major medical condition. He believes a bulge slightly above the left side of the groin is an inguinal hernia, which may have caused his death. The image drawn by da Vinci is based on the correlations of ideal human proportions with geometry described by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius in Book III of his treatise De Architectura 1500 years ago, which da Vinci obsessed over.
