1. 屏東縣高鳳數位內容學院宣布停辦，教育部將協助高鳳在學學生，轉學到鄰近7所學校的對應科系，不過，卻傳出鄰近學校開出「30個學生換一名教職」條件，要高鳳老師用學生數交換教師工作。教育部政務次長陳德華表示，教育部的立場是保障學生就學權益，尊重學生意願，一切要符合轉學的相關規定。
Kao Fong College of Digital Contents in Pingtung County announced its discontinuation. The Ministry of Education will assist the current students at this college to transfer to the other seven neighboring schools with the students’ corresponding majors. However, some sources say that some of the seven schools have made an offer to the teachers teaching at this college: thirty students to trade a teaching position. Political Deputy Minister Chen, Der-hwa expresses the stance that the Ministry holds is to protect the rights and interests of the current students and respect the students’ willingness. All transfer matters have to comply with the related regulations.
2.過去陸生參加轉學考，必須取得兩校同意書。教育部表示，將修正相關辦法，刪除原條文中陸生不得降轉的規定，未來陸生參加轉學考時，報名或應考等各項規定，都比照臺灣學生，增加陸生轉系、轉學彈性；另外，也刪除陸生學雜費報部備查的規定，讓陸生和外國學生一致化。
In the past, students from mainland China taking the school transfer test had to obtain consent letters from both schools. The Ministry of Education says they will amend the related regulations, to delete the provisions that prohibit the students from transferring to a lower grade. In the future, when students from Mainland China take the school transfer test, all registrations, test rules or other related regulations will be the same as Taiwanese students encounter, and thus Chinese students will have more flexibility to transfer to a different major or school. In addition, the Ministry is also going to delete the provision that requires the amount of tuition and fees Chinese students pay that should be reported to the Ministry for future reference. Thus, the policy will apply to both Chinese students and other international students without any discrepancy.
3.根據美國高速公路交通安全局的調查顯示，兒童如果沒有乘坐安全座椅，車禍死亡率比乘坐安全座椅高八倍，正確使用安全座椅，可以有效降低車禍時兒童潛在傷亡率七成以上。明門實業捐贈109臺兒童安全座椅，給北部6縣市的17家醫療院所，提供產婦出院免費借用服務，希望降低兒童交通事故。
According to an investigation from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, if children do not ride in a baby-carseat, the fatality rate caused by a car accident is eight times higher than that of those riding in a baby-carseat. If correctly used, a carseat can effectively reduce the children’s potential car accident casualty rate by up to seventy percent. Wonderland Nurserygoods Co., Ltd. has donated one hundred and nine child car seats to seventeen medical centers in seven counties in northern Taiwan. The seats are for women just giving birth and leaving hospitals to borrow for free, in hopes the traffic accident rate of children can be lowered.
4.開學是文具大賣的時候，新北市法制局和經發局針對大型通路販售的文具，進行標示和安全性進行抽查，抽查文具114件，結果有13件不合規定，違規比例11%；包括三家大賣場和百貨書局販售的文具都有違規。消保官通令業者限期改善，如果複查還沒有改善，將處2萬以上，20萬以下罰款。
Back to school day is the sales peak season for the stationery industry. The Legal Affairs Department and Economic Development Department of New Taipei City Government are conducting a random check for the labeling and safety of the stationery sold at big major retailers. Among the one hundred and fourteen items checked, thirteen of them are not qualified, and the rejection rate is eleven percent. The unqualified stationeries include the ones displayed in the three mega retailers as well as bookstores in the department store. Consumer ombudsman officers have request that the sellers work out the problem. If no improvement has been made while the second round checkout is being carried out, from twenty thousand up to two hundred thousand NT dollars fine ticket will be issued.
5.日本各地連日來受到嚴重暴風雪侵襲，多個地區對外交通中斷，多人受困。暴風雪導致19人死亡，1600多人受傷，交通大亂。東京向陸上自衛隊發出救援請求，奧多摩町及檜原村可能有500多戶家庭受困。安倍在國會就關東甲信等地雪災表示，中央政府將全力提供支援，「相關政府部門將與地方政府緊密合作，一起為保護國民生命財產安全做好萬全準備」。
Many places in Japan have been hit by a heavy snowfall recently. Outbound traffic is closed and many people are trapped in those suffered areas. The snow storm leaves nineteen dead and one thousand and six hundred injured and disrupts transport. Tokyo City Government has asked Japan Self-Defense Forces for help stating that there may be over five hundred households trapped in Okutama-machi and Hinohara-mura. The Prime Minister Abe addresses the congress that the central government will exert all its effort to provide help for Kanto Koshin area and other places suffering from the snowfall, “the governmental bureaus related will collaborate with local governments closely together to get well prepared to protect citizens’ lives and properties.”
